About the Position

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for selling regional and local online advertising. Upon completion of training, representatives are placed on teams and generate lead lists, perform research, cold-call leads, negotiate insertion orders and close online advertising sales. Representatives place an average of 30 to 50 calls per day and manage 100 to 250 accounts each quarter. They also sell additional services to current customers and update customer notes via Salesforce.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct target account prospecting and sales calls/demos via the phone
  • Qualify and further develop leads by performing and documenting customer objectives
  • Perform cyclical contact of prospective customers to identify, manage and close opportunities through the various sales stages
  • Develop internal reports and ensure the integrity of customer information in Salesforce
  • Work effectively with large dollar accounts to develop renewals
  • Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly and annual pipeline and forecast goals and defined objectives

Essential Experience

  • College Degree, BA, BS required
  • 1 to 2 years of business or consulting experience required
  • Smart, aggressive and professional
  • Well-organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship management skills
  • Technically savvy, including expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel and Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the Web and online marketing
